Flores Fam Trip
When it comes to my family nothing in life is more important to me than them. Being half hispanic, we always joked with Matt that when he married me that if you get one bean you get the whole burrito and that has held true. We are a very close knit family and we really are each others best friends. So spending an entire week with them is my heaven on earth. This trip was really emotional for me. Being the first one out of my family getting married and having kids I have watched them all grow and with a growing family you always worry will we be as close? So far we have kept our relationships strong. My mom always says her one goal in this life is for us all to be close even when we grow up, have kids, and a new life. This has become my true desire as well over the years. Especially now with my baby twin brothers get ready to submit their papers to serve a 2 year LDS mission. So this time felt extra precious as it would very well be a last trip spent all together for the next 2 years. Things in life come and go, lose value over time, and often we end up just wanting more. However family leaves us full with love we can take with us into the eternities. I’m so blessed to have a family like mine. Here are the highlights of out trip below.
Playing games every chance we got- Monopoly, Risk, and Sorry.
Making everything into a competition (so many boys ha)
Playing football and running around on the beach until sunset.
Eating at the most run down restaurant because we were all so Han-gry (hungry and angry not a good combination). We all laughed about how it was the worst food!
Stockton asking for an ice-cream bowl every morning (acai bowl).
Going on morning runs with my brothers by the ocean. (okay so maybe I only went once because I got shin splints)
Matt and Jake betting they would eat a fried worm and they did! (Don’t worry I refused to kiss him until he brushed his teeth.)
Going on nightly IN-N-OUT runs.
Sitting all in the same room talking about anything and everything and laughing our heads off.
Talking about our futures, about who we want to become and do in life.
Stockton collecting seashells with everyone.
Sissy holding that little orange bucket everywhere on the beach and putting anything she could find inside it.
Celebrating Amber’s birthday and waking stockton up so he could help devour the cake.
Watching my Dad hold Venice’s hand and walking up and down the beach with her.
Going to La Jolla Cove to see the seals and having the boys carry the stroller up 4 flights of steep stairs.
Stocky being upset because he could not pet a seal.
